Billy Aberle could not be more thrilled to be leading a new an exciting team through this journey that is the co-founding of Pivotal Productions.  A 2013 graduate of Wagner College, Billy achieved a Bachelor of Science in Arts Administration with a concentration in combined arts. Billy’s many experiences have led him and the team to the create Pivotal Productions, whose mission is a cause for which each member is deeply passionate. Growing up in eastern Long Island, Billy discovered his strong growing passion for theatre rather late in his pre-collegiate experiences performing in his High School productions and participating in various other theatrical and musical programs at school and in his community.  These experiences led him to Wagner College where he founded the successful organization "SRMT: Student Run Musical Theatre" with his friend and business partner, Chris Sabol.  With this organization, Billy directed and produced shows such as Rent, A New Brain, Spring Awakening, Company, [title of show], The Normal Heart, and Next to Normal, which was the first collegiate level production of the show in the country since closing on Broadway in January 2011.  The organization's shows have been featured in media such as,, the Staten Island Advance, as well as a full television segment on NY1 News.  With the idea planted from SRMT, Pivotal Productions was born.  Alongside these endeavors, Billy kept busy with other activities as well.  He is a brother of Theta Chi Fraternity which he held Treasurer and Scholarship Chair positions at his chapter, he was heavily involved with the Wagner College Choir and Chamber Choir where he held the President position for a term, he was a Peer Leader for three years, served as an assistant for the Stanley Drama Award, and many other accomplishments.  Billy also interned at Telsey and Company Casting for his last collegiate semester.

Billy could not be happier with the Pivotal Productions team.  Each member of the team is very strong in each of their areas, and combined we form a solid machine of innovative and exciting plans to serve our mission.   Billy has no doubt that Pivotal Productions has an extremely bright future and he looks forward to its new plans, projects, team members, and community outreach.

who we are

Traditional theatre

meets a new

Pivotal Productions strives to teach and advocate traditional theatrical practices, those that originally made live theatre so entertaining.  It is extremely important to us that these theatrical methods continue to thrive in the performing arts realm.  In our modern world so consumed with technology, Pivotal offers a refreshing alternative to the new established 'norms.'  It's live theatre, isn't it?

The performing arts communities in New York and New Jersey continue to thrive. We strive to unite communities through learning, experiencing and ultimately enjoying theatre.  A strong supportive community is pivotal for the survival of the arts.

Our goals and aspirations could not continue to prosper without exposing new and budding generations to traditional practices.  At Pivotal, we feel that it is our obligation to educate students of all ages about traditional theatre practices. Our education programs provide a platform for us to teach and instill these traditional practices, in turn positively influencing performing arts communities.
